"In his increasingly perfectly organized virtual art spaces, he explores color and form, but also line, surface and space sound under totally changed conditions. New paths open up for the artist Klaus Haas. But the 'systematist of the image-idea' remains a wanderer between all worlds: real and virtual, existent and imagined. virtual, existent and imagined, lived and dreamed." |

KLAUS HAAS develops his painting also with the means of the digital. His works, both in picture format and as spatial stagings, captivate through the always surprising spatiality, which opens up completely unexpected emotional worlds to the viewer. In a unique way he uses the means of the digital for the visual arts.
His works realized since 1988 show a highly interesting path from classical painting to a superordinate multimedia experimental field with the help of the new technical possibilities, in the virtual world you can experience his digital painting, installation and objects with sound via the VR glasses presentation. Klaus Haas is thus a terrific example
of the very individual, use of the digital.
Since 2016, the artist dealt with virtual reality, under different aspects he set in motion a creative process for the future under technical, artistic and social aspects. The disciplines inspire each other and come together to new insights and interact up to installation and action art, architecture and social aspects.

Klaus HaasI present new "QuantumRush works" from my work in virtual space, and my walks in the created space worlds! "You could say the works were not only conceived, but also explored and discovered. They combine virtual space with visual art. The idea was to expand the ephemeral appearance of three-dimensional virtual space and capture my moment in such a way that it becomes an existing work of art in the field of digital photography and painting."
Klaus Haas Mind Streams - Data Streams
In the history of mankind, rivers have always been a connecting force between us humans. For thousands of years, they have been regarded as "life-giving water veins" that connect everything and thus have a very significant meaning for the emergence of culture. Greek mythology also knows rivers, including those that separate the upper world from the underworld, rivers of flame that surround the realm of the dead, where no living person should enter the underworld and no dead person should leave it. Actually, "virtual worlds" are already being created here. Not intended for an altar, but to impress and entertain a courtly audience, Hieronymus Bosch created worlds with his "The Garden of Delights" and other works that stood out mystically and surreally from "reality". All this is actually already reminiscent of "computer games", of a fantastic world, in other dimensions. Nowadays, new, invisible, novel rivers stretch across our world: data streams. Once we have "entered" this stream, new worlds open up that cast a spell over us. Ever advancing is the digital world, the data stream that will increasingly determine our lives. First as a small, digital river", "which becomes a stream and leads us with its water into the seas of a new world. With >QuantenRausch< I want to show that we are at the beginning of a new age. Comparable to the times when the first people settled along rivers, today we are exploring the data streams, the network of digital rivers, in order to create and seek to achieve great things for our future in the virtual worlds, similar to the first settlers in the real world. |
Klaus Haas in 2024 at QuantumRush: "There are fascinating insights into alternative dimensions, but I regularly engage with such theories. Therefore, I find the aspect of virtual reality particularly intriguing as it enables people to easily peer beyond the limits of their perception." |
